prompt/power is an independent publication about AI and the technology reshaping how we work, build and govern.
We cover AI, chips, software, gadgets, gaming, security and the business of tech. We go for the story behind the announcement: who benefits, who pays, and what the press release leaves out. Every story links to its primary sources so you can check our work.
prompt/power is published from Toronto, Canada, by Loveseyland Ltd., a studio and ventures company. It launched in 2026.
prompt/power is an AI-assisted newsroom. Stories are researched and drafted with AI tools, then edited, fact-checked against primary sources and approved by a human editor before publishing. Andrew Lovesey, Alicia Loveday, Casie Stewart, Lauren Smith, Catherine Crowe and Jeff Cameron write under their own names. Our other bylines are house bylines: each one stands for a desk (AI, business, hardware, science and climate, policy, software, security, space, gaming, mobile) and a consistent editorial voice, not an individual staff reporter. Desk titles on the masthead below describe a beat, not a person.
